Equine Assisted Ministry

Laura's desire to work with special needs children goes back many years. She taught at the Mississippi School for the Deaf in Jackson, MS and completed a Masters in Special Education from Regent University in 2011. She also has had a desire to use horses in therapy for these kids and to combine it with the gospel. That's what our horse therapy ministry is all about. We are so fortunate that after all these years of renting facilities and buying and training our own horses, we finally have a place of our own to begin developing this ministry more fully. We have 25 acres situated among beautiful rolling hills in central Slovakia. It's official title is Rambling River Ranch, because it sits along one of Slovakia largest protected rivers which meanders through an alluvial plain between three mountain ranges. We want to use the ranch also for camp ministry and retreats, but we can already have groups of kids come for a day either from children's homes or from families desiring help with their special child. Laura is a certified registered instructor with PATH, Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship, International.
